Portugal Land Classification

Natura 2000 site (Rede Natura 2000, ZEC): can you build on it in Portugal?

Independent site: we are not a public authority, and this is not legal or tax advice.

It depends on the plan: Natura 2000 land has no blanket ban, but where plans do not secure conservation objectives, licensing of listed acts needs the nature authority's (ICNF) favourable opinion.
